There are so many options to the different techniques we can use to achieve beautiful, unique color. Sometimes it's hard to explain to your stylist what it is you're trying to achieve. Below are some techniques our trained stylist specialize in to make sure you feel the best version of yourself.
Balayage
Balayage is the technique of free-hand painting highlights onto the hair, creating a soft and natural gradation of lightness towards the ends. The result is the look of summers spent at the beach, or the fresh, unintentionally perfect highlights. We typically like to schedule balayage appointments for a minimum of 3 hours as this technique takes a bit more time.
Ombre'
Ombré is generally darker at the roots through the mid-shaft and then gradually gets lighter from the mid-shaft to the ends. This technique typically has little to no blending to create the dramatic fade. This technique also takes a bit more attention and time so 3 hours minimum is needed.
Smudge Root
The smudged root look features lived-in roots that are only a shade or two lighter than your natural hair color. ... Your stylist will literally smudge your roots with a hair gloss or semi-permanent hair color for a soft yet swift shift between shades.
Foilayage
Foilayage is a combination of balayage and foils. Its uses the same hand-painted technique as balayage just adding the foils. It's usually used for dark color or previously colored hair for ultimate color lift. Foiling the strands keeps the product moist in the foil and providing a much greater lift than an open air balayage.
Fashion Colors
Fashion colors are what we call colors that aren't our typical blonde, brown, and black. Most of them are not applied to brown hair so generally, your hair has to be pre-lightened for these colors to appear vibrant. Fashion colors can be done with any technique such as partial foil, full head foils, ombre', or balayage. For these appointments, we require consultations with your stylist to ensure we keep the integrity of your hair and have the proper amount of time for your appointment.
DevaCurl Cut
A Deva Curl Cut is a specialized technique designed for curly hair. This technique focuses on sculpting each curl by cutting it at an angle so the curl pattern is not disrupted. This unique haircut is customized for each individual curl pattern. We scheduled these appointments for an hour and a half to give every curl special attention.
